Eligibility, Criteria, and Procedure
YOUNG OPTOMETRIST OF THE YEAR
Eligibility Criteria:
- The nominee must be a MOA member for a minimum of two (2) years.
- The nominee must be nominated by an individual MOA member or an optometric society.
- The nominee must be in active optometric practice less than ten years. Age is not a criterion for this award.
Procedure:
- Nominations must be submitted online.
- 2. Supplemental information (letters of recommendation, curricula vitae) may be uploaded.
- Nomination of a nominee in any given year does not preclude future nominations of the same nominee.
- Completed nomination forms must be received by the MOA by September 1st.
- The MOA Young Optometrist of the Year Award will be presented at the annual MOA convention.
- In the event that a suitable nominee is not selected by the judging committee, no award will be given that year.
